Sofie is a Danish girl in her early twenties who likes strange songs about animals*, and anything to do with New York. She never wears sunglasses, which means that she's squinty-eyed in every photo that's ever been taken of her during the summer; and she rarely swims. She finds it hard to take songs with titles that include letters exchanged for numbers or words exchanged for letters seriously, which is a shame because she thinks "Nothing Compares 2 U" is a pretty great song. She is not Jewish, but has occasionally been greeted with "shalom", which makes her happy seeing how she's always wanted to be a part of a community. She's also a name-fanatic, who spends too many hours browsing through Nameberry.com's too frequently.
In 2003 she met and fell in love with a boy who happens to be a New Yorker, and that's also where she sees herself living a couple of years from now. Married and (many years from now) babied.
Filosofies was supposed to be a clever and unique spin on her name, but she has recently come to find out that pretty much every Sofie/Sophie online has thought of the same thing, so, alas, these filosofies are just pebbles in a very large pond.
Things that make her happy: Sales, vintage clothing, smiles, New York, online abbreviations being used offline, not wearing pants.
Things that make her sad: Smelly sinks, when people put garbage in their sinks.
